About Me

Hello I’m Mari; and I am the owner, and photographer at Mari Smith Photography.  I am a Christian, and have been married for 8 years, to my wonderful & supportive husband Tim (ocassional photographer & assistant) we have three children.  Three boys, ages 17, 7 and 4.
My story is a familiar one​ I fell in love with photography when my parents handed me my first Canon when I was 14. Then I started back up again when my husband bought me a new DSLR. 2009 after the birth of our third son family had a horrible session with another photographer. This photographer was awful.  With my middle son being mildly Autistic it was a challenge to get great shots of him and I was determined to do it. Success I did!!! I have a love for children especially ones with special needs. So I registered for my first Photography class and before I knew it I was opening a business and the rest is history!  I haven’t set my camera down since and still take classes and workshops to continue learning! I love my job, my business, and feel very blessed to be able to do what I love.
Of course being a full time mommy, working, going to college online and running a buisness is exhausting but all in a days work and I would not have it any other way!
